Wirecard signed a partnership agreement with SoftBank’s Brightstar

Wirecard has signed a memorandum of understanding with SoftBank’s Brightstar and anticipates “significant volume of transactions” out of the deal, German fintech announced on Monday.

The company said its strategic partner SoftBank introduced it to its US unit Brightstar, which offers wireless telecommunications solutions for logistics and supply chain management

Under the agreement, digital financial services through a Brightstar platform are expected to be treated by Wirecard as their preferred payment service provider, Wirecard said.

“Together, we expect to bring a variety of new solutions to the mobile services market on a global scale, and we anticipate a significant volume of transactions from this agreement,” Wirecard said in a statement.
Both companies are proactively exploring opportunities for collaboration, she said./investing
