Trade talks between the US and China are going well with President Donald Trump. But he added he could not say whether a final deal would be reached.
As he sat down to meet Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, Trump told reporters: “We are doing very well with China’s talks. So let’s get what we need to do, and I think we’re doing it relatively quickly.”
No date has been set and no conversation has been held between their trading teams in more than two weeks, but Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to hold a summit on President Mar-a-Lago’s Florida property afterwards months.
